Pastor of Preaching and Outreach
Dan grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. While working as an accountant in the Columbia area, he met and married Lesa Bowersox, who was serving in campus ministry with Cru. Dan joined Cru and served with Lesa in campus ministry and with Cru’s Latin American Ministry. In 1992 Dan and Lesa moved to Orlando, where Dan attended Reformed Theological Seminary and served in campus ministry with RUF at the University of Central Florida. After seminary, Dan served as assistant pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church (Butler, PA), and pastor of New Hope Presbyterian Church (Eustis, FL). He received a Doctor of Ministry from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), and served as the pastor of counseling at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church (Suffolk VA). He and David Dickson began Crosswater Presbyterian Church in 2012. Dan and Lesa have two sons, Josh and Reid, and daughter-in-law Sarah.
Pastor of Discipleship and Leadership
David grew up in Marietta, Georgia and came to know Christ as Savior during his teenage years. He attended the University of Georgia and received a B.S. in Science Education in 1977. That same year he married Betsy. After teaching high school science in Marietta for two yeas, David attended graduate school and obtained an M.S. in textile chemistry. He worked as a research chemist and then sales rep for BASF Corporation. He began to sense a call to pastoral ministry while serving as a ruling elder at Christ Covenant Church in Charlotte, NC.
After graduating Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte) with a Master of Divinity, David served as associate pastor of Westminster Church in Suffolk, VA, overseeing discipleship ministries. In 2012 David and Dan started Crosswater Presbyterian Church in Chesapeake, VA. David and Betsy have three adult children, Katie, Charlie (wife Katie), and Bobby (wife Morgan).
Director of Music and Arts
Suzanne Wolvin studied music at Oberlin College and the University of Oregon, completing her B.A. in Music and Master of Music Education with an emphasis in choral conducting from Old Dominion University. As music professor at Tidewater Community College she has taught music history, appreciation, theory, sight-singing, and applied voice. She sings soprano with the Virginia Symphony Chorus, worked as Music Director for First Lutheran Church in Norfolk, conducted the Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church Children’s Choir and worked as accompanist for their Adult Choir. Suzanne loves conducting, arranging, and helping people to grow in their God-given gifts. She and her husband, Doug, love spending time with their children and grandchildren.
